I read a lot of books about entrepreneurship and owning your own business.
I highly recommend this because if you’ve never owned a business before, you need to start thinking like a business owner.
Now, this doesn’t mean changing your beliefs or your goals or anything like that.
I’m talking about not only how you analyze your problems, how you prioritize one project over another, or how productive you are on a daily basis.
I’m talking about your VISION. One BIG thing that sets the successful small business apart from the one that
fails after a few months is VISION.
You need to have a clear picture of where all of this is going!
It’s the same reason why so many network marketers quit…NO VISION…
If you’re not thinking about the long-term goals and outcomes of what you’re doing, you’ll never be able to get past the short-term failures and obstacles!!
Whenever unexpected things would come up, I didn’t start worrying about the bills, how to make ends meet, or anything like that.
It was because I knew that in the next 6-12 months I was going to be making $10,000+ a month and paying for that big unexpected bill wouldn’t be such a big deal! I wouldn’t be stressed out about wondering how much it would cost, because whatever amount wasn’t – I knew I’d have the money for it.
When I was dead broke, it seems like I would worry about every little penny and where it went… (when I DIDN’T want to spend it… i.e. emergencies, maintenance, etc…)
But I’d go spend $50 for a night out with the guys, another $60 for something I didn’t need at the store,
and another night dropping a some bucks going out to eat…
You see, I was so SLOPPY with my finances… if I had made ANY sorts of money back then, it would have been gone almost right away because I didn’t have that clear vision of the future…
Business owners have a plan… they have goals they have a vision as to how things are going to work down the line.
When I started my business, in order to develop that vision I had to start reading books on small business ownership, leadership, self development, etc.
And, most importantly, I had to connect with a mentor… a coach to help me develop that vision…
Do you have a coach?
And I’m not talking about just an upline… I mean REALLY… a mentor, a guide… someone who is helping you through your struggles and answering your questions and easing your concerns…
Or have you been trying it on your own? Doing it all by yourself? Doing the “lone-ranger” approach?
Let me save you a BUNCH of time… I did that for my first 2 years network marketing business…
And it left me broke…no income from my business… no self-worth, no self-belief…
Trying it on my own was impossible…
I don’t care what business you’re in, or not in one at all…
